eBay Handmade Miraculous Medal of Mary stretch bead bracelet crafted with 8mm natural Rose Quartz and matte Howlite gemstones accented with Thuja Sutchuenensis Wood beads, silver accent beads and an exquisitely engraved traditional oxidized silver Miraculous Medal 2-sided hanging charm, made in Italy with English transcription. MIRACULOUS MEDAL: Also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Graces, a Miraculous Medal is a devotional medal originated by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in France. In the depiction, Mary stands on a dome crushing a serpent beneath her feet. Describing the original vision, St. Catherine said the Blessed Mother appeared radiant as a sunrise, “in all her perfect beauty.” Rays shoot out from Mary’s hands, which she told Catherine, “symbolize the graces I shed upon those who ask for them.” Words from the vision form an oval frame around Mary: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” On the reverse side, a cross-and-bar surmounts a large, bold “M”. Twelve stars disperse around the perimeter. Two hearts are depicted underneath the “M”, the left, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, lapped with a crown of thorns, and the right, The Immaculate Heart of Mary, skewed by a sword. It is best to remove your bracelet before washing your hands, showering, exercising and swimming since contact with moisture can break down the elastic, ruin finishes and tarnish metals and charms. > AVOID CONTACT WITH CHEMICALS ~ Perfume, soap, moisturizer, lotion, hand sanitizer or other chemicals can weaken the elastic, harm natural crystals and result in the discoloration and peeling of beads and gemstones. > AVOID HEAT EXPOSURE ~ Leaving your bracelet in sunlight or exposed to heat for an extended period of time may lead to elastic erosion and can cause beads and metal to discolor. Remove your bracelet while exercising. > ROLL IT ON AND OFF ~ Do not over-stretch your bracelet! It has been made with pre-stretched elastic. Over-stretching it beyond its capacity will cause it to break.
