State House Sterling Inaugural 44pc Silver Flatware Service for 8 Serving Pieces Click images to enlarge Description DESCRIPTION: Today we are delighted to be offering for sale a gorgeous vintage State House Sterling Inaugural 44-piece sterling silver service. This beautiful floral pattern was first introduced in 1942 and has since been discontinued, but remains a favorite among collectors for its understated elegance. The flatware set is crafted of fine sterling silver; pieces are all marked on the back “State House Sterling” and “Inaugural.” The knives/weighted pieces are marked “Sterling Handle” and “Stainless” on the blade. You get 8 of all of the dining flatware, along with some key serving pieces. This lot includes:   ​8 dinner forks – 7-1/4″ in length, weight between 44-46 grams/each 8 salad forks – 6-1/4″ in length, weight between 35-36 grams/each 8 modern hollow knives – 9-1/4″ in length, not weighed 8 teaspoons – 6″ in length, weight between 30-32 grams/each 8 table/dessert spoons – 6-7/8″ in length, weight between 43-48 grams/each 1 sugar spoon – 6-1/8″ in length, weight: 30 grams 1 tear bowl serving spoon – 8-1/4″ in length, weight: 66 grams 1 sauce ladle – 6-1/4″ in length, weight: 58 grams 1 master butter spreader – 7” in length, weight: 30 grams Total pieces: 44 Total weight, not including knives: 1,438 grams CONDITION: Set presents very nicely and is in very good vintage condition, with  some moderate wear/scuffing, scratches and tarnishing from age and use.
