DESCRIPTION Mechanical watch “Pobeda”Released specifically for the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 1946.The name of the watch and its characteristics were personally approved by J.V. Stalin in 1945. MOVEMENT Its mechanical hand-winding movement has got 15 jewels. The movement is mechanical and needs to be wound once a day. HISTORY The first prototype left the Penza Watch Factory by the end of 1945, and the first official model appeared at the Kirov Watch Factory in March 1946. Until 1954, the watch was produced by 1 MChZ. Then the technology was transferred to other watch factories in the USSR: to the Second Moscow Watch Factory, Chistopol, to Kuibyshev, to ZiM – the Maslennikov factory, which produced Pobeda until the mid-1990s. The watch was widespread in the USSR and the countries of the socialist camp. The watch is running properly and keeps time accurately. It has been serviced by a professional watchmaker:1. All parts tested for wear2. Broken ones have been replaced with good parts3. All parts washed up in gasoline4. The movement was put whole, then lubricated and calibrated5. The case was washed up in jewelry ultra-sonic washing machine6. A new crystal was set up. Comes with a new leather strap.
