Vintage 1967 Hotwheels Redline Silhouette Purple Diecast Car Made in USA – Special feature has a Don Edmunds Auto Research decal label on back trunk hood. Research found no other vintage Hotwheels Redline Silhouette diecast vehicles with this decal. We do not know who/when the decal was put on this car but it appears to have been placed on this car a long time ago. Don Edmunds (d.2020) created AutoSearch in Anaheim California in 1964. He specialized in building midget cars and sprint cars. He changed the face of midget racing with his sleek and lightweight innovative creations.The company advertised with assorted promotional products. The design of this decal appears to be from the company’s earlier years – 1960’s. PLEASE NOTE: We are not experts on diecast vehicles especially on proper color names or nicknames given by the maker.
